Cooking is not terribly difficult.
No, but the cleaning and sanitation part seems to elude more and more restaurant operators. I patronize very few dining establishments, less and less lately. That and the Hep-A problem puts me off.

And the kitchen may be clean and the chefs may be, the wait staff and those in charge of wiping stuff down, may not be.
I rarely eat out. I never get sick from food.

After 3 food poisoning incidents in the last 18 months, I ceased eating at a local major chain location. It's just too damn painful to go through 8 hour of agony and puking to take a chance again. The problem is clearly in the kitchen and there is no way for me to know who's cooking on a given visit.

The restaurant business is what Las Vegas would describe as a “Slow Crap”. Probably one of the highest failure rates around.
