I expect your being sarcastic, because in fact, if an attorney were to do this, he/she could face disbarment.

But intentionally producing a client’s privileged documents to a third party is not an error, but an intentional act of misconduct. The attorney would open him/herself to a malpractice action for the damage caused, and unless the value of the documents was somehow trivial, I don’t see how an attorney would avoid disbarment, as keeping a client’s confidence is one of the bedrock responsibilities of an attorney.

No. Anybody who pursued consequences for the leaker would be destroyed by the Left. And frankly, most attorneys fall into that group.
