The could do a double chain-link fence with 100 yards of sand track between them and it would be significant;y better than what we have now AND you would not need $billions for it.

They really didn't start. They are just repairing the border in the San Diego sector, and calling it "the wall". Very little in the way of new barriers have gone up. We are being played.

America built the 1700 mile trans-Alaska highway in 90 days during WWII. This was built through some of the toughest terrain on the planet, and built under adverse conditions. We can build stuff fast when we have the will to do it.

I have seen pictures of construction in those states mentioned, that looks like some of the New prototypes.

I don't think so. Language in the funding was very specific that only repairs could be made, no new construction.

...and put troops on the border and when the media and libs scream about that, let Trump say, “I’ll take the troops off the border when I get XX dollars to build the wall, stop chain migration, etc., etc.”.

The question is not what can Trump do, but what can WE do?!

We can bitch about it here to each other, or become real activists and demand that Congress fund what they PROMISED.

One thing I do not like about Free Republic and FReepers in all my long years here is how many of us will complain online yet do no real activism.

Geesh, just write a letter to your Congressman (includes Senators). Stand outside a local television station with a sign (Build the Wall!). Or, perhaps your Congressman has a local office. Find out when he/she is making an appearance around your location. Go to Craigslist and ask for volunteers to help you protest.

There’s so many things we can do. Get off yer arse!
