> Trump should say if I do not get funding for the wall...I will put armed troops along the border <
You and Ann Coulter are both right. If not a wall, then troops. And the sooner the better. And if there’s no real action by 2020, a lot of deplorables are going to be upset. Not upset enough to vote Democrat...but some enthusiasm will be lost, for sure.
President Trump, remember what happened to Bush I when he didn’t follow through on his “no new taxes” pledge.
The way he campaigned on it, I expected him to be a lot more aggressive on wall construction. Instead we are DNA testing illegals.
There's a different between the two. Bush I said, "read my lips", then he went against what he said. He signed the bill that had tax increases. He did not have to. He could have said I'm sticking to my pledge and veto it; send it back to Congress. In Trump's case, he hasn't had a bill to sign on the wall. F'n Congress won't get off the dime. If a wall isn't built, it's not Trump's fault, unless he changes the priority. I do agree that he should take the case to the people and say, "I'm doing all I can with this Congress, but I need your help"...and put troops on the border and when the media and libs scream about that, let Trump say, "I'll take the troops off the border when I get XX dollars to build the wall, stop chain migration, etc., etc.".
