President Donald Trump on Wednesday called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end Robert Mueller's Russia probe "right now," escalating his attacks on the inquiry.
"Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now," the president wrote in a post on Twitter. "Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!"
I think Trump was quoting Dershowitz in that tweet.

Ending the witch hunt is the very last thing Trump wants. The American people view Trump as the innocent victim of a system rigged against him. Mueller serves as the ultimate villian to codify Trump’s super hero status. It’s a political gold mine.
In 2016, he got a lot of miliage out of Clinton’s super delegate monopoly over Sanders, by saying the system is rigged. Now he gets to enjoy a similar political bonanza.
Don’t you see? He makes idle threats and says Sessions “should” end the investigation, but has he ever lifted a pinky finger to actually make that happen?
No. In fact, when anyone gets close to putting RR or Mueller in a corner, what does Trump do? Does he lend an ounce of his considerable weight to tip the balance toward those who are supposedly fighting on his behalf? No. He says he’s not going to get involved.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he is periodically taking Jordan, Meadows, Goodlatte, Gowdy, etc. off to the side and telling them to stand down - go ahead and talk tough - but stand down. It would explain why there’s always so much tough talk but no real consequences.
Trump is the President of the United States, and he’s obviously not a pussy, so do you really buy this crap about Trump being too afraid of the GOP senators to fire Jeff Sessions? C’mon.
Fire Sessions, or live him. But, stop the constant, interminable whining.
I haven’t used Twitter in two years. My tweets were shaddow-banned on many an occasion.. Had to put up with vile Leftists chiming in on my tweets.. The last straw was my account being hacked by hysterical Leftist muscreants. Twitter probably allowed it. Decided not to go back.. So glad I didn’t!

Never use it, except to occasionally check Trump’s tweets. I have a link that allows me to read just his tweets and not the asinine replies to them.
I did sign up for Facebook, only to get info on someone. I’ve never posted anything. I do have a friend who uses it and friended me, but then I kept getting notified of everything anyone posted to him. Can’t remember how I stopped it, but I did. Very annoying...
My take is most social media is a cesspool. 99% of my online presence is here. Occasionally I’ll post a review to Yelp.

Not going to happen unless Trump starts firing people. Start with Sessions, then Rosenstein, and then on down the line until someone says they’ll fire Mueller. If you’re not willing to go nuclear, Mr. President, then you might as well stop complaining.
Schiff is screaming it. Such nonsense! POTUS is doing his job, making use of the executive powers vested in him by Article II of the Constitution. Even then, “obstruction” requires criminal intent. That’s not present here. POTUS isn’t even under investigation for a crime at all. Democrats might not like what Trump does politically speaking, but they can’t criminalize it.
Yep, the ineffectual complaining just makes Trump look weak and reminds us that he can't on won't do anything. This just emphasizes that the DOJ and FBI are operating as an independent fourth branch of government. They can even blow off Congress without consequences, too.
What will it take for you to entertain even some doubts about Sessions?
