China appealed to Washington on Thursday to stay calm and “correct its attitude” following a U.S. threat to raise tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods in a dispute over technology policy.

A foreign ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang, said Beijing was open to dialogue but gave no indication about the status of possible negotiations. […]

“We urge the United States to correct its attitude and not to try to blackmail China because it will never work,” said Geng at a news conference. “We advise the United States to be level-headed and avoid simply acting on impulse, otherwise it will ultimately hurt itself.” …

So Beijing wants to force us towards rudeness. We have no choice but to begin extended training with the possum style.

Doesn’t look like it.

Firing MacArthur in Korea is looking more and more like a huge mistake.

While China stall, we continue to rack up a HUGE trade deficit.

The largest trade deficit, between any two countries. Ever.

And it even worse, this year.

Raise the tariffs Trump. Raise them high, and soon.

Just my opinion...

China is losing?

China is selling America approximately $375,000,000,000.00 more of stuff each year, than they are buying from America.

They are running a MASSIVE trade surplus with America.

Trump. Do something about that.

China’s recently been plying games with their currency in order to hurt us.I’d love to see our ports absolutely closed to Chinese goods....and then lets the fun begin.

McArthur was an old fool that is drectly responsible for the deaths of thousands of US troopsin Krea by just ignoring the intelligence. His failure to command allowed the hundreds of thousands of walking chinese troops to force into the retreat slaughter of entire batallions.

McArthur was fired because he just wasn’t up to the task of winning general.

Could not agree more. Pls see my previous post.

Canadian made is second best—although the country is sympathetic to China under Trudeau. Trump and Harper would have made a formidable team.

No. That is not why he was fired, not that any of that is true. Truman fired him because Truman was scared of Red China who had nukes by then, and MacArthur was fighting off a PLA incursion into Korea.
