I’ve been around long enough to recognize terminal insanity when I see it.
“the plight of transgender people who have a rough time getting a date” I wonder why that is? Did they really think that lopping it off would improve their chances with the opposite(?) sex?
Reality: this transgender $hit is just one more fad - a temporary, unreasonable, passing fashion that is currently attracting followers. Some people are unable to think rationally, and they follow the crowd as it dashes insanely into idiocy.

I've often noted that it's not enough to tolerate gays, it's not enough to openly accept them even. Nope, they won't be happy until you become gay too. I was perhaps being a bit dramatic but making the point that the anger and resentment that drives them can't be satisfied as long as there are straight people.

Consider going to a bar and starting a conversation with an attractive person of the opposite sex. You start to think about getting closer, then realize the person is trans.

We are very close to the point where not continuing with the fraternization would be an illegal offense and the trans person could conceivably bring charges.

You can call someone a “bigot” and if by that you mean someone who does not have a mental problem in the form of an obession that erroneously thinks they are a different sex than they actually are, and does not want to date someone with that problem, then I’d wear THAT “bigot” badge with honor.

Sympathy and compassion do not translate into acceptance of someone’s mental problem as “O.K.”.
