Enterprise (CVN-65) has been decommissioned and defueled but hasn’t been scrapped.
Just wow.
My son was on the USS Kitty Hawk before it was scrapped.
Kitty Hawk hasn't gone to the breakers yet either, but the Navy has announced she is to be scrapped.
Obama was so “in the bag” for Islam, it was just astounding.
He was the “Shuck and Jive president, while our nation was being stripped of it’s assets.
The man brought terrorists into the White House, and appointed them to positions in our government.
He armed and funded two different terrorist groups.
Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood were his best buds when it came to Islamic fellow travelers.

1. The Enterprise was old. 50 years is a long tome for a steel ship to be at sea.
2. Congress was the one at fault for not authorizing a new carrier in time to replace the Big E.
CVN-65 is over 50 years old. It’s wore out. It needs to be replaced, not that Obama ever gave a crap about that.
Yep, the plankowners on the Big E are either dead or in their 70s.
CVN-65 and CV-63 hulls are still there.
It's just a question of funding if refurbing them would be faster than replacing them with Ford class CVN's that are having serious teething issues.
BTTT.
The Kitty Hawk was old. She needed billions in upgrades and refurbishment. Replacement is a much better option.
Rode hard and put up wet.
Problem is the Ford Class keeps getting design changes that pushes their commission dates back.
You could very well refurb Kitty Hawk and get it back in service while they're still getting the bugs out of the Fords.
Wouldn't be surprised if they're still trying to get the kinks out of the Ford's in the 2030s.

Everyday Putin has to look in the mirror and listen to his inner voice repeat what his advisors point out...
... U.S. President Donald Trump keeps his country together and successful when the media is allowed to work against him. When subordinate lawmakers work against him and when even the fundamental offices work against him.
And that’s GOT to p!ss Putin off something fierce.
It depends. The latest Ford will cost as much as Canada’s entire military budget
