Santa Barbara's city government recently criminalized the use of plastic straws. This is a minor annoyance, something we're all used to from nanny-state politicians.
But one city councilman, Jesse Dominguez, had a totally honest explanation for why the council thought it necessary to micro-manage our lives: "Unfortunately, common sense is just not common. We have to regulate every aspect of people's lives."
As Steven Hawyward points out at Powerline, the statement "expresses the core impulse of liberalism today."
Dominguez, perhaps realizing he had said too much, tried to walk back the statement: The comment sparked an immediate backlash from people who read the quote in Noozhawk and other local media, wondering "did he really say that?"

BTW, these people do not consider anyone fully human unless they have a degree from an elite university. They have ultimate contempt and hatred for the middle class normals in America
They have considered it their mission in life to indoctrinate their students with their beliefs. FWIW, they have succeeded and they are winning.
This decreases individual choices, which has a negative effect on individual liberty, agency, autonomy, initiative, sovereignty, self determination, identity, self-control, self-responsibility, and self-actualization.
Regulations increase inefficiency, waste, taxes, which increase costs, and decrease profits and savings, which decrease capital accumulation, which slows down economic progress, which causes increased poverty and economic decline and decay.
Freepers understand that Democrats at their core are open borders, socialists/globalists and that they are a real threat to the American nation. The challenge and the fate of the nation depends on this insight becoming known to the average voter, especially those in the muddled middle who sadly often determine elections.

It goes back over 100 years. Get on ProgressingAmerica’s ping list to see the history, and look at his posting history.
Seems FR could create a program that could combine duplicate posts. Before I post anything, I search FR to see if it has already been posted. But sometimes it doesn’t find it. In this case this article needs many views. It has become apparent Socialism is really nothing more that a return to Feudalism... the “landed gentry” ruling (not governing) over we lowly serfs.

If you search for a complete title, it won’t work.
Best work around is to choose one unique word in a title.
Try searching for just a single important word in the title, and changing the drop-down search option to ‘Title’.
In this case, the article may have been posted after you searched but before you posted. It can happen.
Typical liberal behavior: Less freedom of choice for everyone
Don’t like TV content:
Republican: change the channel
Democrat: Make it illegal to have that content on TV
Bakery won’t bake wedding cake for gays:
Republican: Go to another bakery
Democrat: Make it illegal for bakeries to refuse service anyone
32oz soft drinks may cause obesity:
Republican: Don’t buy 32oz sodas
Democrat: Make it illegal to buy 32oz sodas (but 2 16oz sodas is okay)

Problem was no one asked us if we wanted to transform America. Socialists after the midterms won’t ask if we want to pick up the tab for their socialist programs, either.
