Those bank and tax crimes are real. What they did was use those real crimes, and threat of real jail time, to get him to plea to a non-existent crime so that the federal prosecutors could claim that Trump participated in a crime. He said sure, give me 3 years instead of 30 and I’ll say anything, even if it’s stupid.
If I were Trump, I would fire the prosecutors who prepared the plea deal for Cohen. I would say that by making up a non-existent crime and then getting a defendant to sign off on it, they have revealed themselves to be dishonest and partisan in their conduct of their offices, and I cannot have that in my administration. He could say he’s not going to interfere in the case administration, just fire those idiots.

The last two he pleaded guilty to even though he didn't do them. It's a really repugnant maneuver.
Cohen admitted what he did with Stormy was a crime, even though it wasn't.
Then he implicated Trump in the fake crime.
Fascinating maneuver. Cohen pled guilty to crimes that he didn’t commit, then implicated Trump in the fake crime.
What Cohen & Trump did was not a crime. Yet, Cohen admitted it was a crime, and then implicated Trump in committing it.
All about framing Trump. Very aggressive & blatant.
