Lanny is setting up an incompetent defense claim.

I’m torn between thinking that The Donald got back-stabbed by Cohen or... The Donald knew Cohen was a mole the whole time.

Regardless, that whole “Trust The Plan” thingy isn’t giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling...

“Trump wants to help Cohen.”

Not a chance. When he hired Davis it was obvious he was turned. So he pleads guilty to something that is not crime so he can say Trump asked him to do it. Oh yes, Mueller is a man of honor. What BS.

By the way is your tag reference to the Pink Floyd song? Just curious.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA Cohen blew his chance of getting a PARDON!

He should've followed Manafort or Flynn's behavior!

So who in the hell’s interests is defense attorney Lanny Davis serving?

Lanny’s just upset that Avanetti might surpass him as the country’s sleaziest lawyer. It IS a close call there!

Here in Michigan we are stuck with Jeff Feiger. A rat ambulance chaser who even Chris Matthews once called the most obnoxious man in America. Avanetti is going for the title. The classless little punk sent out a note to Rudy yesterday that said “buckle up buttercup”. Sheesh what a scumbag.

How does one get charged of something that isn’t a crime, so that they can plead guilty to it?

I think Cohen has thrown a couple of Trump bones to Mueller for his own benefit. I think Cohen doesn’t want to hurt Trump, and the bones he’s thrown won’t, and he and Trump know it. Trump and Cohen might have an understanding. Trump wants to help Cohen.

I think you're a very nice person who wants to see good in everyone. Trump isn't exactly known for being nice to those who aren't nice to him. NYC lawyers who secretly record their own clients and then publicly violate privilege aren't exactly paragons of virtue.

Pakistanny Lanny as the DC Chapter used to call him when we Freeped the WHCA dinners. Davis was the chief lobbyist for Pakistani dictator General Pervez Musharraf.

Long time Democrat activist and Clinton fixer, billed simply as “Cohen’s attorney.’ Media makes no mention of that. They would be screaming about all kinds of nefarious plots and conflicts of interest if the situation were reversed.

“When he hired Davis it was obvious”

Watch out for things that are “obvious”.

Payoffs to women to silence them and/or settle lawsuits (thus influencing elections), appears to be a longstanding tradition in America.

On Thursday, the Office of Compliance released additional information indicating that it has paid victims more than $17 million since its creation in the 1990s. That includes all settlements, not just related to sexual harassment, but also discrimination and other cases.

And further, in the case of Congress, they didn't even use their own money to silence these broads.

Cohen pleaded guilty to five counts of tax evasion; one count of making false statements to a financial institution; one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporation contribution; and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution. I'm pretty sure all those crimes exist.

Asking Lanny Davis to be his defense attorney wouldn't be much different than asking Mueller to be his defense attorney...Like a Jew asking a Nazi to defend him during the Holocaust...Davis and Mueller are on the same team...

Cohen and Trump didn't commit the crime of making excessive campaign contributions but Cohen pleaded guilty to the charge to damage Trump...Unlike in real world circumstances, Cohen may have to prove he broke the law...

Cohen knows there's no chance of a pardon so he's got to do what he can to appease Davis and Mueller to stay out of jail...

This was likely a set up deal between Cohen and Mueller before Cohen's house was supposedly raided...

The crime exists; paying off an extortionist on behalf of a client is not a campaign contribution, that is not a crime. You are nitpicking on semantics.

Six counts of tax and bank fraud are crimes. That's what he admitted to and that's what could get him the jail time. Not the campaign finance violations; those are fines.
