My question is: Even if Trump asked Cohen to make that payment to Stormy Daniels, is it not incumbent on Cohen to properly research the legality of it within the context of campaign finance law, then go back to Trump and say “no, we’re not doing that?”
1. He had a lot of business dealings outside his work for Trump (which is confirmed by the tax evasion charges in his plea deal).
2. It means nothing if he is disbarred, since he wasn't going to be doing any real legal work for anyone else once he burned his bridges with Trump.

Judicial precedent says that in order to sue for libel a public figure has to prove “actual malice” - publishing a lie knowing it is false, or with indifference to the possibility that it might be false.
- It is perfectly clear that journalists do not care if their reporting about Trump is false and defamatory, and
- Journalists who work for the Associated Press or for any organization which is a member of the Associated Press speak with a single voice because the AP is actually a trust.
The AP should be sued into oblivion for systematic libel of Republicans in general as well as Mr. Trump in particular. As well as for violating

Great article. Cohen will say ANYTHING. This is a total setup to connect it to the campaign. I don’t think they have a legal leg to stand on. But we live in a tyrannical one sided oligarchy. If Hillary’s server and evidence tampering and carelessness with top secret docs is a-ok, then maybe the guy they don’t like can be impeached for a personal payment not from the campaign. It’s all about what the oligarchy wants. Nothing else matters. But still, WE MUST FIGHT.
