Just a couple of comments not really related to the article:

Did you know that the Democratic Party
It is really the Democrat Party.

When an 8-year old gets punished in a schoolroom for calling his teacher “ma’am”
I did not know that ma'am had a different meaning to blacks than to whites. A bit like the "N" word? I used to work with a black lady who was our manufacturing manager. She was pretty good at her job, dealing with the operators and she and I worked together pretty well. One day she said something to me (don't remember what) and my response was "Yes, ma'am." Her eyes got big and she asked, "Yes, ma'am?" I was quite flustered because I did not know what I had done wrong. To me it was truly a term of respect. I just said, "Uh, Yes, OK." And that was the end of it. Even today I still don't quite get it. ????

There are many perpetually aggrieved persons of color - they find offense where none is intended or meant just because they assign negative connotations to words based on their skewed perceptions.

That is the closest you will come to understanding “what you did wrong”, which is really nothing. You curled the edges of a snowflake.
