His Telecommunications Act of 1996 was one of the most corrupt pieces of legislation in US history. It enriched them beyond their wildest dreams and created a near-monopoly where 3 companies own 95% of all broadcast media.
They have reasons to worship him.

People have nothing good to say about politicians.
And McCain? He was the quintessential Washington career politician.
