Carlson: We Have a Good Idea Who Wrote the Anonymous NYT Op-Ed

Fox News host Tucker Carlson started his show Wednesday night claiming he had a “pretty good idea who wrote” the controversial anonymous New York Times op-ed and added that representatives from his show had called the White House for comment.

Earlier in the day, The New York Times published an anonymous op-ed that was allegedly written by a “senior official in the Trump administration.”

“We think we’ve got a pretty good idea who wrote this piece. We’ve called the White House for comment on it tonight. But until we confirm the identity, of course, we’re not going to accuse anybody in public,” Carlson said.

Haven’t seen much of a defense or offense from Pence
===============

Pence was picked by Paul Manafort and IMO a poor/weak choice. I've never really liked or trusted him.

Kudlow’s own writings. “The root of the problem is the president’s amorality,” writes the anonymous official. “Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making.” Here’s what Kudlow wrote in his 1998 book: “If we stick with what I call first principles, which is morality and ethics, some spiritual guideline which was present at the creation with the founders . . . then this country is unstoppable.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This is a good lead...

The WH should start by calling in people they suspect.

I think there are never Trumpers on this thread. The NYT has zero credibility. Unnamed senior official? Give me a break.

I couldn't agree more. We're supposed to assume this steaming pile was written by a Senior Administration Official just because the writer says so? Bull. This is on the NYT editorial page. They lie. Outright lie. By omission and commission. Every damned day.

no chance it is Kudlow. he was a super-supporter of Trump well before the ‘16 election, and has not wavered.

A reasonably intelligent person who wished to stay anonymous in this sort of endeavor might study (or already be familiar with) the writing styles of multiple administration figures, and then combine them for the Op-Ed. Indeed, such elements from at least 3 White House figures have already been pointed out by FReepers.

In a sense, this Op-Ed is really not news at all. Who doesn’t realize that one of Trump’s biggest obstacles is overcoming the Deep State(ers), who think they know better than the American People or even our Founders / The Constitution how things should be run.

Great post. I agree 100%.

Ever see the TV series “Branded” with Chuck Connors? I would pay money to see the NYT reporters lined up ostensibly so Trump can give them a group interview, and as he walks up to each one, just grabs their press credential badge and rips it from their neck.

Then he takes their pens, breaks them in half and dumps them at their feet!

My question is, this writer said “they” considered the 25th amendment for trump. Only cabinet levels have power to implement. So there are multiple cabinet officials or people very close to cabinet officials that know about this deep state group. Everyone is focused on writer, but I say focus on who “others” are in this high level group.

Imagine if he did - the news media would go nuts on Carlson. They already did when he tried to tell the truth about South Africa.
