You know....eighty years ago, you probably wouldn’t have found more than 5,000 Americans who’d ever stepped on or near a glacier.

Today, I bet there are 5,000 Americans a week who go looking for glaciers.

Yep. There were not a lot of people killed in car crashes in the early 20’s either.

When I consider time progression - the world my grandfather was born into in 1889 is much closer to life 2000 years ago than it is to ours.

And just think of the carbon footprint generated by their flights, cruises and bus rides to see the dying glaciers!
