my wag is that a lot of people were on things like dialysis machines or other hospital type appliances that required electricity. when the electricity went down. so did they. they fault was with the incompetent corrupt electrical companies for not having backup or a better electrical system.
I do not expect any sympathy from others if a Hurricane destroys my home. I live in Florida and accept the risks.
