Jill Abramson: suffering from Anita Hill flashbacks?
The author of the anti-Clarence Thomas book Strange Justice appeared on CNN this morning. Introducing her, Alisyn Camerota said, "you say that you shudder to think what will happen" when Christine Ford is questioned at Monday's scheduled Senate hearing.
Replied Abramson:
"I think that the Republicans, despite all the changes that have happened in the generations since those [Clarence Thomas] hearings, are still going to go in with a strategy to save this nomination at all costs. And if that means destroying, destroying Dr. Ford, I hate to even think about it, but I think it's going to be the same kind of political circus that we saw back in 1991. That's what worries me."

I’ll enjoy it. Many of us are starting to have a Roman attitude towards these traitors. Sort of like watching people getting fed to lions in the Colosseum.

She won't show, and they'll blame it on evil Republicans bent on destroying women. That's an argument that will appeal only to their base. Everyone else will think it's a crock.
This will not end well for some Republicans.
There are exactly three people named in this sordid tale. The accuser cannot remember the date, or even year, when the party occurred. She doesn’t remember whose house it was at, only that it was near a golf course (which I’m certain is very common in the area). She names Kavanaugh and this fellow named Judge, but doesn’t remember anyone else at the party.
Oh, and this is a “repressed memory” that she suddenly “recovered” in 2012 (with the assistance of her therapist).
Kavanaugh has stated that he never attended a party like the one she describes - and he did so in unequivocal terms. That leads me to suspect that he didn’t attend ANY such parties in high school.
Judge has stated that the events in the tale never happened, although he admits to being a wild child as a teen.
Kavanaugh’s direct statement in denial is key to the destruction of Blasey-Ford’s tale. Coupled with the changing nature of her yarn, the direct denial, alongside the explicit contradiction the described behavior as witnessed to by at least 65 females who knew Kavanaugh from that time, promises that Blasey-Ford will indeed be “destroyed” by the falling weight of her self-constructed house of cards.
I think Dems actually want footage of her crying on the stand to sway these suburban women voters I keep hearing about.
Or qualms about how devastatingly hurtful for his wife and daughters.
If I had the running of this, I would make it all about the destructiveness of false recovered memory syndrome, and go after the therapist who is ultimately responsible for this.
So Dems would think it unfair if someone paid people to sit in the gallery and shout things at Ford and the Dems at the hearing?
Ford’s lawyer, Debra Katz, has a history of Democratic activism........ and publicly defended Bill Clinton against the accusations by Paula Jones.
The accusations proved to be true.....Clinton had to pay Jones $650,000.

Nuts and sluts. That was the agenda pursued by James Carville while he was running interference for Bill Clinton.
“Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.” Believed to be in reference to Paula Jones and her assertions that Bill Clinton had forced himself upon her.
Where was #MeToo then?
Notice the psychological maniuplation going on with the choice of the words: “...hearing to carry echos of anita hill in the #METOO era”
In other words, millions of hysterical indivuduals who believed anita hill believe this biytch because of a hashtag.
I’ll bet that Trump asked him if there was anything in his background that would prejudice his nomination.
We sure seem to be headed down that road.

This is not going to go well for the Deep State. We are not playing politics anymore and will use all methods no matter how vicious they may be to preserve the Republic.
Drinking underage, is actually pertinent. I can’t believe he was never asked this ever. He strikes me as the kind of guy who may have had a beer or two times before he turned 21, I think even doing that is probably unlikely, but being a routine High School drinker? I doubt it.
