Sorry, my iPad auto correct and Siri are messing up my text. My point is that senators might approach Ford as if they are performing to a judge or jury, when they are instead being watched by the media and public. How they might question under the eye of a judge is very different than how they might question under the glare of lights and cameras. I am not confident that they can adjust and successfully question Ford.
I think he means “play to the court of public opinion, not to the Senate hearing.” At least that’s the way I read it.
