I never liked Kavanaugh to begin with. Thought he was too old. Trump had 3 judges that were younger and should have picked. Kavanaugh is 53. Nobody over 50. Boomers have destroyed this country enough. Looks like I was right.

It has gotten to the point that, if I was Senator Grassley, I would invoke ANOTHER Nuclear Option.
From now on, I would declare, all SCOTUS Nominees can be approved with a 3-Senator vote.

Obviously your example is just meant to provide a point of comparison, but clearly, being a ‘powerful’ political figure does not require a ton of intellect. From those I’ve interacted with and known they are generally unimpressive people.

Recall the Democrats marched en mass over to the Clinton White House and had a party with him the very day he was impeached. Contrast that with the doormat GOP who can’t maintain party unity for a single thing except exempting themselves from Obamacare.

What I meant to say was ... If you ran into him in a group of prominent people from any walk of life (I used political figures because they would be known to you as a fellow guest) and didn't know why he was there, you'd never just assume that he must be the CEO of General Motors, a top neurosurgeon at NYU Medical Center, etc.
