Thanks, but no need to be sorry. I knew what you meant. I’m just very sensitive to the ‘smarter than you, better than you’ attitude we’ve had to stomach from politicians and their sycophants in the media and academia. These are too often people who would struggle to be above average in other walks of life, but have huge egos and a need to be ‘special’, so they either go into politics - a ‘profession’ in which actually being really good at something isn’t required in order to gain stature, or academics - a profession that also doesn’t require you to be especially good at something, and has plenty of self-promoting deceit.
As a society we’ve given way, way, way too much stature to politicians and academics. Both now attracts narcissists - not truth seekers and public servants. Just my opinion.

Bill Clinton did way more than anything alleged of Kavanaugh and yet I saw his new book for sale today in my local Costco. The GOP need to grow a backbone and hoist the hysterical Dems on their own petards. Clinton, Kennedy, Ellison, etc. This is a target rich environment.
