Perhaps more importantly (to them) is they are not doing their own young sons any favors.
Just wait until they get important jobs and get derailed by high school accusations. That's what is being set up now.
Actually it is much worse. Historically, and cross culturally, women's claims of rape and sexual assault have often been questioned in the absence of overwhelming evidence in support of their allegation. This tendency has been reduced in the last 50 years, which is a good thing since it helps real victims of sexual assault.
The antics and political theater of the left are likely to lead to a backlash, where police, judges, jurors, and society in general are less likely to believe claims of assault of abuse. That may be the real effect of all of the Democrat antics.
