I have heard that the statement “We don’t the word to go out...” was taken out of context, and that she wanted to head off that idea that she was promoting black genocide before it reached black churches.

It’s not true that Margaret Sanger advocated abortion.
She advocated contraception, but was highly aware of the dangers and consequences of abortion.
