how about mexico “requesting” the us (military) take over a 1000 foot strip of the mexican side of the border, like the british zone at calais? the mexicans have repeatedly demonstrated that they cannot control their side of the border. the invaders have shown that they will not stop. the usa judicial system provides unjustifiably unbalanced relief if the invaders’ feet touch usa soil. so the usa could “help” mexico control their border 1000 feet before usa soil. or 2000 feet before usa soil. whatever works.
