"By the end of this week, we will deploy over 5,200 soldiers to the Southwest Border," as part of Operation Faithful Patriot, Air Force Gen. Terrence J. O'Shaughnessy, head of the U.S. Northern Command, told a news conference on Monday.
"That is just the start of this operation. We'll continue to adjust the numbers and inform you of those."
The 5,200 active duty troops are in addition to the 2,092 National Guard troops deployed earlier this year. The soldiers will "harden the points of entry and address key gaps in areas around the points of entry."
Add some Claymores and a few landmines and you might just have something that works.

If no borders then no country. We know Japan, China, Iran and everywhere else demands strict border security and no entry without a good reason and proof of identity. Each is against people of other races (ask about black rights in China and Caucasian corporate board leadership in Japan or Jews and Christians observing religious beliefs and practices in Iran. Thst is actually very smart. Any injurjes are the redult of people trying to get through. If these criminals send children and women into the wire it is on them. Also place the wire one meter inside the border so any injury is the result of an illegal attempt at entry. I would backstop it with GIs and Leos in body armor with shields and cuffs to arrest those who get through. Only a last resort should offensive violence be used. CS and rubber bullets and any of those DAARPA non lethal creations. I’d also put in a call to the IDF for advisers.
