Sounds stupid to call a rock a firearm. How about call it a violent assault and life threatening like it really is? And in some cases the use of lethal force would be reasonable. And I would think it would be reasonable when faced with a mob of 20+ fit men throwing rocks and chunks of concrete.

The Baltimore cops just stood there and got pelted with rocks——back in the good old Obama days.

It was an unfortunate choice of words, but it's just the way our President speaks. I've gotten used to it, and don't get my knickers in a twist over his exact phrasing anymore.

Had the lawyers and speechwriters crafted that statement, they would have called rock throwing, 'use of deadly force.'

The appropriate term is deadly force.
