Keith Ellison elected Minnesota AG despite domestic abuse allegations

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison has been elected as the state Attorney General, fending off his Republican opponent in an election mired with domestic abuse allegations.

Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, defeated Republican Doug Wardlow and his ambitious run to become the first Republican state attorney general in nearly half a century. Ellison was once seen as the comfortable favorite in the race, but his campaign was thrown into turmoil when his former girlfriend accused him in August of physical and emotional abuse when they dated.

Three women have filed charges on Ellison accusing him of mental and physical abuse. One of them has a video if him beating the hell out of her. There is a great scene from ‘Too Big To Fail’, where Dick Fuld of Lehman Brothers is watching TV and drinking bourbon. Lehman was allowed to go bankrupt, which caused a BUNCH of follow on effects in the US and Europe.

When AIG and Fannie Mae were circling the drain, the Fed and Treasury decided to bail out both ($700M+).

In the movie, Fuld (played by the great James Woods) is watching the announcement of the bailout, and he can’t believe it. He just looks longingly and beaten, with bourbon in hand, and mutters, ‘moth** f***er’.
