It looks like the posting at Obama’s now-scrubbed fightthesmears website was the closest we had to a direct admission. And it is indeed an admission, but it’s too indirect in its wording (and now in its sourcing) to register with most people. Still good evidence to have if you’re ever in an argument with someone with any openness or interest though.
