43 appointed Roberts to Chief....iirc he came from DC circuit. Roberts likes to think his judges are not political, but history tells a different story.
Kavanaugh is tight with Roberts and was the one who suggested Obamacare might be considered a tax, which is disconcerting. Roberts may be mental, but he is now the swing vote. I wouldn't try to tick him off.
