i agree with you, and I should have labeled sarc. they are quite stupid in ways that really count, yet suck up big amounts of money and many live well to do lives based on their junk/self focused ideas in science that they push on the rest of us.

It has no affect on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. These people are stupid. I agree completely with your second sentence. But injecting stratospheric aerosols would very definitely affect CO2. It would increase it because dimming the sun would stunt plant growth.
