Just heard it on the radio. He had a full life and is with his wife again, so I can be OK with that at least. I kinda suspected that after she went, he wouldn’t be around too long, either. RIP to the both, God bless.

I did not agree with HW Bush on everything.

I believe if he picked James Baker as his VP in ‘92, he could have won reelection.

RIP. He was one of the last old schoolers.

Come on now, let’s not go there.

It alienates voters we need-—black and Hispanic voters. Come on now.

Do I miss him? No and he threw away what Reagan gave him.

I heard it on the radio minutes ago coming home. They said that so far only AP and CNN were carrying the news.

Honestly, I am conflicted. He does represent another era of the USA. He was pretty much handed the nomination and election thanks to RWR, then smacked him in his Inaugural Address. Let Clinton bad mouth him throughout the ‘92 election, then all but officially adopted him and Hilary as his own, while spurning Donald Trump. Not sure I will go into DC to stand in the cold to salute his caisson as it passes, nor stand in line to pass by his casket in the rotunda.

Will Trump be invited to the funeral?

I suspect the Democrat Media will use this to bash POTUS. If POTUS is not invited Bush will get a McCainesque hagiography. If Trump is invited it will be the usual bash Trump event without the extras.

Yep. Of course, nobody in media ever properly credits Clinton with squandering the great victory of the Cold War when he aligned himself with corrupt communists instead of the reformists. For that reason, Russia is not meaningfully different, just a bit smaller and poorer.

Yikes...didn’t 0blama just pay the old guy a visit, a couple of days ago?

Don’t let 0 visit, when he knows YOU know stuff about him.

I can’t think one thing he did as President that’s memorable.

Why would it be a disgrace if Trump is invited to the funeral?

I thought I had run across it before (maybe in text while searching one day long ago). Still, I had basically forgotten that date. He used the term multiple times. Saving that one to my GHWB archives. Thanks.
