Ultimately, his presidency was cut short by forces outside his control.

Horsecrap!

"Read my lips, no new taxes"

There's the answer to why he only served one term.

He lost because he was more of a caretaker President without vision than a true leader. He was uninspiring and he was not a true conservative.

He was a good VP for Reagan though.

“A Great President” - good grief - stop with this stuff. He sold out the Reagan Coalition to the the New World Order and George Mitchell. Pleez.

Not so great. I did not want the USA turned into North Mexico so he could get his New World Order

Amen!

I worked the phones in that election and my ears were burning from Republicans who would not vote for him because he broke his promise.

Thank you dick darman

So completely out of touch that the first time he encountered a supermarket barcode scanner was at a photo op.

He was a decent guy except for his New World Order concept which ran opposite all American ideals.

If you don’t keep the base happy, you lose.

The other side might personally like you, but that doesn’t mean they’ll vote for you.

‘41’ was a congenial and decent man but not exactly a strong leader. His years as an Ambassador and head of the CIA trained him more to be a bureaucrat. He had a strong approval rating throughout his presidency, but his “be nice” attitude toward the normal media abuse republicans receive let Clinton move in and take over.

Oh, he had a vision.
His vision was overrunning the USA with Spanish speaking people and subsuming it to the UN.

Because “New World Order” is code for “America Last.”
