PARIS (Reuters) - Paris was in lockdown early on Saturday with thousands of French security forces braced to meet renewed rioting by "yellow vest" protesters in the capital and other cities in a fourth weekend of confrontation over living costs.
The Eiffel Tower and other tourist landmarks were shut, shops were boarded up to avoid looting and street furniture removed to avoid metal bars from being used as projectiles.
About 89,000 police were deployed across the country.

I’m kinda following what’s going on there.
You see the problem, though? This is comprised of all kinds of people with various grievances. Apparently people still think government can create wealth, because they are demanding a higher minimum wage and better retirement benefits. The only thing that will save them is the free market, but that doesn’t seem to be popular these days, especially in Europe.
Paris is a huge city. Lock it down? How exactly? Oh, right, government workers won’t go to work which is about the whole city of Paris anyway.

That’s a good question. The French have had enough and are doing something about it. We on the other hand seem to be incapable of demonstrating indignation and outrage.
