Atmospheric CO2 is a fertilizer - promotes the Greening of Planet Erf.

Sun Spot numbers are WAY low, decreasing, and not likely to return for years, at best.

When my SIL complained to me about how dirty coal is I told her that coal is relative clean nowadays in that the chemical byproducts and particulate matter are mostly removed.

When I used the term "clean coal," she was dumbfounded.

She turned red-faced and began to sputter about CO2 being a pollutant, so I said "and what is it that plants, trees, and vegetables eat?"

She hasn't spoken to me since...and that was over a year ago.

“Atmospheric CO2 is a fertilizer - promotes the Greening of Planet Erf.”

I think the left pigeon holed themselves on this one and have no way to back out of the CO2 argument. If CO2 is really the issue, the solution is to simply plant more forests. Use existing technology to turn deserts green, using desalinated water.

The true problem in my opinion is industrial pollution of air and water sources. However, that will require cultural changes in countries which in turn increases the prospect of liberty, reducing government abuse of the people.

As an example, if the Ganges was cleaned up today, tomorrow people will still crap in it, dump garbage in it, drink from it and bathe in it. Th culture would have to change as would the infrastructure to burn or bury the garbage and sewage. Add this process to 100 countries that do the same thing and you now have the potential of new economic growth from previously affected areas.
