I have to ask how are they going to stop him? If Trump gives the order, will Pelosi give a counter order to the military?

Just shut it down. The Dem House is going to do nothing but sow chaos anyway. This will prepare the public on our terms with perhaps a positive outcome.
It ran off the rails after Pelosi warned that Trump’s hard-line position on the wall would lead to a “Trump shutdown.”
Pelosi to Trump ...”I think the American people recognize that we must keep the government open, that a shutdown is not worth anything,”And that you should not have a ‘Trump shutdown.”
Trump to Pelosi.....”A what? Did you say a ‘Trump shutdown?’
Pelosi to Trump.....”You have the White House. You have the Senate. You have the House of Representatives. You have the votes. You should pass it [a government funding bill] right now,”
Trump to Pelosi:...”I can’t get it passed in the House if it is not going to pass in the Senate, The House we can get passed very easily. ... The problem is the Senate. We need 10 Democrats to vote and they aren’t going to do it.”
Pelosi to Trump...”There are not votes — a majority of votes — for a wall,”
Schumer echoed.....”That’s exactly right,”
Trump....”If I needed the votes for the wall in the House, I would have them in one session. It would be done, It doesn’t help to take that vote. I need 10 senators. That is the problem. ... We need the wall. More importantly, we need border security of which the wall is just a piece.”

As I understand it PDJT could w/out the House approval as the TOTPOTUS has authority over Treasury. Also, if we set up a 501(c)-whatever to donate too to reimburse the Treasury their isn't a bleeping thing Smuckey Chumer and San Fran Nan could do about it.
I read at one point the Bond issue was discussed and it was declined as too not piss of Paul Ryan. How did that work out for us.

Pelosi and Schumer didn’t want to leave the room without making it appear it’s Trump shutdown.....Pelosi raised this as a Trump shutdown and that’s when it went off the rails.....Schumer echoed it.....and then Trump basically said...Ok if that’s what you want I’ll shut it down....
I think it was Reagan who shut it down 5 times to get what he wanted. Though it’s not a welcomed event for obvious reasons but since the Congress doesn’t do anything anyway what difference would it make there.

I think it was Rush who said that the gov’t shuts down every weekend. And life goes on...
I hope somebody saves that snippet of video where Schumer is derisive about Republicans winning Senate seats in North Dakota and Indiana. He must have felt safe in his smarmy comment because those states do not have Senate elections in 2020. His facial expression spoke volumes about Dem opinion of flyover country. Dems are despicable.
My concern as well. Giving the rats back the House is cutting our own noses off. I can only assume that millions like me are very upset with the Ryan version of Republicanism. I changed affiliation to Independent and cutoff all party contributions. The fact that they couldn’t reform health care was the final straw for me. Yes it was McCain but it never should have come to that. Now the wall just underscores the need to replace rinos with conservatives and go to war with the left.

The optics of this conference will have a far-ranging effect in the next elections. Americans want the wall. People who lightly follow the news may understand the dems are against it, but there’s nothing like seeing them in action. Here Americans see our President fight for what we want, and we see the opposition fighting against the wall and against transparency.
No wonder Pelosi and Schumer don’t want this on camera.
I just watched it again.....Schumers comment on N.Dakota and Indiana was smug as it could be....what he showed was his disdain for flyover country voters as insignificant. Dems always have disdain for voters.....even their own.
