For the first time since the 2018-midterm elections, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with President Trump at the White House Tuesday.
Their meeting was originally supposed to be closed press, but that all changed when the White House press pool was invited into the Oval Office to broadcast their remarks.
President Trump started the meeting by thanking Pelosi and Schumer for showing up and made his case for additional border security.
"I am proud to shut down the government over border security," Trump said. "I will take the mantle."
"They're pouring into our country. We have to have border security. We have to have a wall," he continued.
After some back and forth with the Democrat leaders, Pelosi started to panic and said they should not continue in front of the press.
"I don't think we should have a debate in front of the press on this," Pelosi said.
"Its called transparency Nancy," Trump shot back.

President Trump then continued, leading Schumer to later argue the same.
"Let's debate, let's debate in private," he pleaded. "We shouldn't shut down the government over a dispute, and you want to shut it down."

After the meeting, Pelosi and Schumer ran to the cameras outside of the West Wing and further slammed President Trump's position.
"He will get no wall and he will get a shutdown," Schumer said. "This temper tantrum that he seems to throw will not get him his wall."

Now that i think about it, since the POTUS took ‘em to the wood shed the lib media will probably spend 10 seconds on it tonite (if that) and omit the audio completly.

Keep it simple, and take it directly to the American people. It's high-risk, populist, but it should work.
There will be consequences, though. Look for many more injuries from illegals scaling the fences, the more the better for the Dems. The idea is to try and extract sympathy for the plight of these poor suffering pawns. Walls are dangerous!
Also, Trump can forget about any kind of cooperation from Congress, he lost any hope of bipartisanship from Pelosi and Schumer. They'll attack on all fronts, including impeachment.

The President, OUR President, looked each of these two enemies right straight in their faces and said clearly no border funding = government shut down..... while Pelosi and Schumer would not, could not look at him in the eyes.
Clear sign they are both total deceivers.

I figure if he does this, at some point releases all the FISA/Steele Dossier/DOJ/Mueller stuff, just when they thought they were going to have him on his heels, he’ll turn it on them.
If he ever, God Willing, gets the report of the $17million in hush money, paid w/ our tax dollars, for all the sexual harassment settlements, then it could pretty much be over for them.

If that’s what really was said, they are done. The narrative now will be, “OK, your mad, but are you going to let mad come between the people you represent and the ones trying to get in here illegally and kill us?”
The facts are what they are, and I think a steady diet of those is coming, prompted by this little show.
