My favorite is when they say Mexicans are Native Americans, and so should have a special legal status like American Indians, with all rights and privileges appertaining thereto.
Not to be called a racist but the current Mexicans are the late relations of those Spanish conquistadors. The original word for Mexico was probably Meshtleeko and the original natives are called (and they’re still there but subjugated) mayans, nahuas, tarahumaras, coras, seri, zapotecs, purapechas, huichols, etc. they are known individually. collectively they are known as mexico’s indigenous population. They existed before Spain came and invaded the area.
