GUTLESS PRESIDENT IN WALL-LESS COUNTRY
Ann Coulter Dot Com ^ | 18 Dec 2018 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 12/19/2018 3:04:38 PM PST by Rummyfan

If you were elected president after decades of politicians doing nothing about the millions of illegals pouring into our country every year, committing crimes, dealing drugs, driving drunk, molesting children and killing Americans like Kate Steinle, and your central campaign promise -- repeated every day -- was to build a wall, wouldn't you have spent the entirety of your transition period working on getting it done?

Wouldn't you have been building prototypes, developing relationships with key congressional allies and talking to military leaders about using the Seabees or the Army Corps of Engineers to build the wall?

Wouldn't you skip the inauguration and take the oath of office in San Diego so you could get started on supervising wall construction immediately after putting your hand on the Bible and being sworn in as the leader of the free world?

You would if you meant it.

Well, Donald Trump didn't do that.

OK, sure he could have taken the oath in D.C., gone to a few balls, then started the wall on day two of his presidency. But he didn't do that either.

Maybe I'm a literalist. A zealot. When people kept telling me to be patient -- the wall is coming! -- I nursed a private hope that I was wrong, and they were right.

It is now crystal clear that one of two things is true: Either Trump never intended to build the wall and was scamming voters all along, or he has no idea how to get it done and zero interest in finding out.

He sacrifices every opportunity to make the wall happen.

For two years, Trump pretended to believe the president of the United States needs express authorization from Congress to defend the nation's borders and blamed the Republican majority for not "funding" the wall.

It would be extremely wrong for us to trash him, after all he has done for us and is trying to still do for us.

I’m not really disappointed in him, either. His personal flaws were known to all beforehand. I never built him up to godlike status.

I am eternally grateful to him for trying. And I am not giving up on him just yet. But now we see the depths of the swamp. The corruption doesn’t stop at our “borders,” either. Oh baby, it’s a wild world.

Where are the results thought, the wall should have been half built by now?

Trying? Trying?

We seize the Presidency against all odds, and now Trump drops the ball, he gets cold feet?

Do you understand we will NEVER get this chance again?

NEVER!!

TRUMP HAD BETTER SWITCH ON AND START TO DELIVER OR WE ARE DONE!!

It’s now time for revolution-revaluations, if the majority of the swamp and swamp people wont support what is right and good it will just take more work from us to change their mind and get them back on board.

It’s like a sail boat that is about to tip, you don’t run down to the low side, you run up and do your god d-mnest to get it back on tack.

“I must admit I don’t understand why Trump let those two years slip away.”

You don’t understand because you’re not paying attention to comments like these:

“I don’t remember Trump making any statements in regard
to when the wall would be built.”

Look. He is not a King. You don’t know what they have threatened him with. Or what he is up against. I do thank him with all my heart for attempting.

Also, I will never say never. The only reason patriots are suffering like indentured servants today is because a large part of the People are fooled by the media. They are the Gullibles. They are busy, decent Americans with good values who only get info from mainstream media or friends or family. Therefore I do not lose hope that Trump is the only way we can ever be free again. Once 75% of Americans understand how the globalist Oligarchy controls us all with their media, we can own this place again. All it will take is truth to the People that they will believe.

You're right, he's more powerful than any King who has ever lived. Stop making excuses for failure & lack of WILL.

Excatly, the MSM and now even congress in the senate being involved in it is grounds for prosecution based on the things they lie about, when the people hear those lies, how can Trump even get a leg up and get things done?

He’s been kneecapped from the beginning because of the Obama Hillary/Bill structure that was left in place in the deep state.

It all needs a reset.

We all put a lot of our emotional capital into Trump. Yeah we got some return, just not what we expected on immigration, wall and sanctuary cities. Coulter is not the issue, building the damn wall is and we need to remind Trump. If he runs I’ll vote for him, but his base is not enough He needs to build it with the military as a critical defense need to stop resource stealing invaders just as Israel. Use the billions to Mexico and Central America or Syria.

To quote Rush today. “RUSH: The $5 billion for the wall, he needs to sign a deal for that. But we can somehow transfer $10.6 billion to southern Mexico and Central America.”

There were opportunities to get the wall but Trump oddly was never willing to take the risk or expend the capital. Actually we needed to do that in 2017 and early 2018. It was the single election promise that many consider as most important. He made it and we believed it.

The left knows this will disillusion his base and thus will do everything to prevent the wall. The wall should have been top item on the burner from day one. Vetoing the trillion dollar budget in 2018 that gave nothing to the wall was needed.

Thankfully conservatives can discuss this without seeing a need to muzzle those that they may not agree.....unlike the irrational freedom hating left that thrives on controlling opinions and speech.

I fully understand the difficulties Trump is facing. He has essentially no friends in DC. But I was promised a wall.

Consider a mechanic who promises to fix your broken-down car. That car is very important to you. And you trust the mechanic. So you give him the job. Two years pass, and the car is still not fixed.

What you accept that?

And no, I'm not abandoning Trump. He's still our best hope. But someone had better remind him of what happened to Bush I after he broke his no-new-taxes pledge.

Great post. I agree with it completely. As Truman said, the buck stops at the Oval Office.

Side comment: Every politician needs to hear a little grumbling from his most loyal supporters. Without that, the politician is less willing to take chances and disturb the status quo.

And boy, do we need the status quo disturbed.

“Listen new kid on the block“

You’ve been around a long time. What change have you facilitated? I’d call you a failure. I doubt many listen to you, here or there.

“Maybe you like things going the way Chuck Schumer called it in that meeting”

Poor analysis, fool.

He said he’d build the wall.

If we cry about it less than two years into eight, we’re nothing but crybabies.

Remember to act like a patriot, not a liberal.

This is why people say Coulter is not a real conservative, which pretty much means she’s not a real patriot..

When Ann straps on some weapons with bullets and stands at the border to protect us, then maybe we can believe she is serious about border security. Or she could stand on a street corner in LA and interview all the invaders that walk by. Or visit rural Mississippi or Alabama to interview some of the foreign invaders that have been taking over in the last fifteen years or so.

Yes, because it’s take at least some intelligence to read it. Then it takes more to comprehend it.

Thanks.

I do not know if this is legit or not.

It’s out there...
