He pumps up the domestic steel industry. He provides the Rats a path of retreat, while getting his wall. He is seen to offer concessions (important for low-information voters).

Yes he was speaking to the people, I think this needed to be done. Explaining and laying it out for people who are not clear on the border issues. Pointing out that Democrats supported securing the border until he was elected. We that follow these things know they didn’t mean what they said about border security but that is beside the fact that they did say it. Laying out the problems directly to the American people without the media spin and political spewing is wise. No matter what his next step is in this process he needs the support of everyone he can possible get to back him in this fight.
I just saw a post on social media that some Republicans in Congress were wavering to the Democrat side to reopen the government. There was not a list of names but it would be helpful if one could be posted so we could contact those people directly. Am sure they are RINOs but if they get many responses in support of Trump they won’t honestly be able to say people don’t support Trump or they were contacted only by people that want to cave...every little bit helps.
