Dang, I used to like Mach 3 before today. Any recommendations for alternatives?

Go to Amazon and buy the Dorco blades. I bought the six-blade set, like 10 for $20.

Also: The Dorco blades are the EXACT same blades as those used in Dollar Club. If you're going through Dollar Club, you're paying for the hilarious ads.

But alas! (70s advertising voice here, sailboats in the background) If you really want a smooth face that the women would swoon over, buy Magic Shave powder as well. I have sensitive skin, so I use Magic Shave to get rid of my bumps. Magic Shave. Make a man smooth!

I’ve been using a CVS 5-blade razor since forever that costs a fraction of whatever name-brand it is a copy of (Gillette Mach 5, I think). Anyway, might want to give it a try. Obviously, CVS is the only place you’ll be able to get the handle and replacements. Other stores may have their own knockoff. The quality is indistinguishable from the name brand, IMO.

Save $$$$ and get an old school safety razor for $30-$50, a decent brush and decent shaving cream. Very goods blades will cost you $0.10 to $.25 each to refill. I have a heavy beard and change blades once every two weeks. You will save tons of $$ and get a better shave.

Sure. Try these:

You can get 100 blades for about $10. If you use one blade a week, you can get two years worth of shaves from them. You'll also get a far closer shave with less irritation than you would with any of those nonsensical, outrageously overpriced multi-blade cartridges.

Or just buy a straight razor - if you haven't used one, it takes a bit of practice, but you get a terrific shave, and drawing naked, sharp steel over your throat and face first thing in the morning definitely wakes you up.

I like the Gillette Trac 2. I prefer it to the Mach 3 anyways. Buy a “Bump Fighter” razor handle $6 ( https://www.amazon.com/Bump-Fighter-46-0221-Shaving-Kit/dp/B0011Z3WXU/ref=sr_1_13_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1547519001&sr=8-13&keywords=bump%2Bfighter%2Brazor&th=1 ) and the Personna Trac 2 cartridges for $11/100 - or 11 cents each: ( https://www.amazon.com/Personna-Twin-TWIN-Razor-blades/dp/B003MFXWUA/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1547519058&sr=8-4&keywords=trac+2+razor+blade+refills )

For $17, you get a great handle and at least a 2 year supply of razors. Maybe more like 4 years...
