Derbyshire was actually into race though. King, not so much.

Make no doubt about it, the end game here is to force Steve King to resign. As far as the GOP establishment is concerned, he shouldn't have won to begin with. They wrote that seat off and pulled their support.

Strangely, EVERYthing Derbyshire wrote in that article had been previously said to me by black acquaintances.

There are few things that establishment Republicans work at harder than trying to score brownie points with liberals over how opposed to "racism" they are. The best way to do this is to throw people like Rep. King, Derbyshire at NRO, and Jason Richwine at the Heritage foundation under the bus with the liberal media eagerly watching.

It may end his political career, but at least Rep. King isn't backing down or going down without a fight.
