Saying that he blames the Democrats as much as the Republicans for the current DC disarray, Tom Brokaw, appearing on today's Morning Joe, said, "you've got the young people running through the halls, who are the new members of Congress, who are conducting pep rallies every day." Brokaw described the Dems being "driven hard by the left."

They’ve got control of the House but they’re mostly just, yeah, yeah, yeah, we’re not going to do what you want to do. I haven’t seen a grand plan. You’ve got the young people running through the halls, who are the new members of Congress, who are conducting pep rallies every day, instead of getting together with the more moderate people, or the people from the Midwest who have won in Ohio, and Wisconsin and Minnesota where they need to win again if they’re going to get the control, but they’re driven hard by the left.
Make no mistake: Brokaw is a liberal. But he’s an old-school liberal. He undoubtedly yearns for the good old days when Republicans were in a perpetual House minority, and complaisant Minority Leader Bob Michel would amiably find a way to go along with Dem plans.
