I’ve never heard anyone address the fact that, while she has a degree in economics from Boston University, she was never able to embark on a career path based on that degree. She has a major college degree from a major private university, yet she was working as a bartender??
That comes up. It's a more competitive world out there. Millennials work at jobs they hate and feel overqualified for, and she's a socialist, so she's not keen on working for corporations.
She was doing a lot of activist things during the day and working as a bartender or waitress at night to pay the bills. That might seem like failure for a college grad, but look where she is today.
She majored in international relations and minored in economics. It doesn't say much for her degrees if she had trouble finding a job after graduation.
Good point... one could speculate about her not going to law school, etc...
A bartender who stole tips.

Her major was International Relations. It’s obvious that for Ocasio-Cortez any economics that she studied was minor, other than her fascination with Marxism and its emphasis on envy.
