Committed Socialist and Democrat Party mouthpiece Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went off on the American capitalist system on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
Ocasio Cortez has warped ideas on the success of Socialism. A trip to Venezuela is warranted for this one.
During her talk with The Atlantic’s Ta-Nehisi Coates Ocasio-Cortez trashed the US system despite its unprecedented success in world history. Completely blind to history and the world around her Ocasio-Cortez continues to promote Marxist ideology. This is the modern day Democrat Party. Ocasio-Cortez likes to wrap up her conceit and ignorance as compassion.
FOX News reported:
When asked whether “a world that allows for billionaires” is “a moral outcome,” Ocasio-Cortez responded: “No it’s not. It’s not.”
She then said that she does not believe all billionaires “like Bill Gates, for example, or Warren Buffett are immoral people.”
“I’m not saying that, but I do think a system that allows billionaires to exist when there are parts of Alabama where people are still getting ringworm because they don’t have access to public health is wrong,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“I think that it’s wrong that a vast majority of the country does not make a living great wage. I think it’s wrong that you can work 100 hours and not feed your kids. I think it’s wrong that corporations like Walmart and Amazon can get paid.”

It does seem that way sometimes, and I agree with the sentiment that the world is unfair. But, every “fix” I’ve seen or heard makes things worse and even more unfair.
Too bad Bezos didn’t go after her instead of Lauren Sanchez.
Making billions is not immoral. It’s what you use it for. Soros using his billions to destroy countries is not only immoral, but evil. Many Leftist billionaires use the money for truly immoral purposes. The Clintons acquired their vast wealth immorally, and used their money immorally. On the other hand, many immensely wealthy people use their money to do a great amount of good. Creating jobs and donating to charities.
I wonder how many parents considering BU have changed their minds after realizing that AOC got a degree in economics and has no concept of the subject matter. OR... could it be that she was an excellent student and the rubbish she spews is exactly what they are teaching?
Ok, I saw someone post that her degree is actually in “International Relations” and that she has a minor in economics. Do we know for sure what her degree is in?
From what I have experience “International Relations” is like a Phys Ed degree but one for the non-athletic & pseudo-sophisticated. Probably a good description of her!
Take a poll of randomly sampled subjects in this country and ask them if they believe there is a limit to how much wealth any one individual should be allowed to have.
I promise you, you aren’t going to like the results.
I feel fairly confident that this woman has an ear piece in that reminds her to BREATH - “Inhale.” “Exhale.” Inhale.” “Exhale.”
If I called this woman dumber than a box of rocks, I would be insulting rocks!
Even though economics was her minor, she should have picked up some idea of how things work.
