Vaccines for diseases like Measles and Small Pox were urgently developed when the technology because available because these are highly contagious and were often fatal. Very fatal in the case of Small Pox wiping out much of population groups. The characteristics of the diseases have not changed but the ability to spread via our close proximity to one another and our mobility has increased remarkably.
Stupid not to vaccinate against most things.

Vaccines are safe with extremely extremely rare bad reactions and even more rarely death. The risk of disease that has a much higher incidence of harm and death is many times greater than the risk of the vaccine.
Although parents can legally refuse to have their children vaccinated, I do support their rights. However, those parents are “ate up” with stupid.

I am actually old enough to have had all the childhood diseases- chicken pox, red and black measles, mumps, etc. Just recently got a TDaP booster to protect my grandsons.

If you aren’t vaccinated, you’re relying on the large numbers those who WERE vaccinated to stay unaffected.

It’s OK, there is always something to disagree about, and frankly I sometimes fit in those categories, but usually only with very specific situations.

My concern over vaccines is it’s now triple the number my kids got back in the ‘80’s. I recall getting only the polio and possibly dot shots in the 59’s. I had the measles, chicken pox and German measles. Was it pleasant no! But it appears new vaccines are constantly being invented. Heck when I take my dog to the vet, the number of new vaccines compared to 25 years ago is through the roof. And now they’re offering flu shots for dogs?! Yup my local CVS is offering flu shots for pets?! What’s more for those whose lives are affected by a serious vaccine reaction, there’s little recourse. I am not anti vaccine. I just question why so many and what is being done for those who have horrible reactions. We are not all the same. I suppose it’s for the greater good. Now where have I heard that before.

This is another topic that really concerns me. Our zealous dedication to “diversity” seems to have led to massive #s of immigrants AND their constant traveling back to their hellholes.
This happens in my ridiculously PC locale. Just in the last 15 years we’ve exploded in “diversity” with all kinds of foreigners insisting on going back to their homes regularly. It’s rife at my workplace, and plenty at my son’s private school, too. Yikes. India, Moslem countries, Asian countries (Korea is big here; but Vietnam and Chinese), Iran (maybe) all the way down to Germany.
Some years back, one of my husband’s young co-workers went back to India and never returned. Caught a bug and died.
It scares me to death having these cesspools making their way over here all the time.
