This Lt Gov will be the only one impeached....the other two (blackface players) can’t be impeached (there is no law against blackface).

What’ll happen here is that the Lt Governor will step to the side before the impeachment episode starts up (likely to be about 60 to 90 days away). Once he has resigned, Virginia law says that the governor can appoint someone into the seat. My guess is that the party is viewing twenty-odd characters and will select a woman to fill the seat. A month later...the Governor will resign over the blackface stuff, and the new female governor will move up.

The AG likely will resign after this, and a new AG (likely to be a woman as well) will step into the job. Finally, the new Lt Governor seat would have to be appointed and I would suspect that it’ll be a woman.

So prepare for the shocker...by July, all three will be gone, and replaced by women (this is my prediction).

Is impeachment ever a correct venue when the “crimes” did not occur when in office? Senators and Congressmen don’t need background checks because they are given authority by the people who elect them...maybe they’re trying to start the precedent to give the Fed Congress some bolstering.
