The lawyer for the 2 men who were arrested and then released in connection with the alleged attack on Jussie Smollett says the new evidence that has changed this case is something her clients told cops.
Attorney Gloria Schmidt was at the Chicago police station Friday night, after her clients, Ola and Abel Osundairo, were released from custody. Schmidt said the "new evidence" that triggered the release of her clients was something they knew and presumably told cops.
Our photog asked Schmidt flat out if the "attack" was staged, and she answered obliquely, saying there were moving parts and she didn't want to speculate.
As we reported, Ola and Abel both worked on "Empire," and Abel was especially friendly with Jussie.
And, something else interesting ... she wouldn't answer why her clients went to Nigeria the day of the alleged attack, but added it was a "great question."
She said she didn't want to speak for her clients because they had a story to tell "when the time is right." That clearly sounds like they have inside information about what went down at Jussie's apartment building.

Didn’t I just read that Juicy himself has lawyered up? He hired Michael Cohen‘s attorney? Smart move. Because Juicy is as guilty as ever they come. But I doubt he will be charged; he’s black and a homo. Two get out of jail free cards right there.
This Smollett guy had better hope he doesn’t wind up doing time for his little stunt. His story has completely fallen apart.

The media was careful to tell us that they were arrested. Let’s see if they let the people know that the suspects have been released. When this is proven to be a hoax, it will be interesting to see how the media spins that and avoids telling the people so they continue to believe it was real.
The snails’ pace of this investigation is frustrating but I suspect the police are dragging it out because they know the longer this goes on the more lies accumulate and Jussie will end up once again putting the rope around his own neck.

Smollett should have gone for a sure thing. Just get some of Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch quota boy’s FBI love slaves to investigate.
After all, it’s gotta be Trump’s fault, and only liberal FBI minions with big degrees from formerly respectable east coast schools have the requisite lying ability coupled to no moral sense necessary to copulate with the press for the correct reporting.
Why were these men arrested in the first place? Because some no-account Z-actor made a claim without providing evidence? A bottle of Clorox and a clothesline do not a crime make. More likely, just two clean guys from Africa. I don’t know what the FBI and our local police are up to these days...
