It’s fitting that William Barr’s confirmation as attorney general happened just as two powerful law-enforcement figures were trading accusations involving President Trump. Barr’s greatest challenge isn’t antitrust deals, immigration policy or even handling special counsel Robert Mueller. His overriding challenge is to reboot a Justice Department that has shredded its reputation and lost the confidence of Congress and the public.
It’s hard to feel confident in law enforcement when a former deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Andrew McCabe, reveals that a small cabal of unelected senior law-enforcement officers held meetings in May 2017 to plot Trump’s removal from office. In an interview with “60 Minutes” that aired Thursday and a forthcoming book, McCabe says he and other officials, including Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, did head-counts of which cabinet officials might vote to declare the president “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” under the 25th Amendment. McCabe claims Mr. Rosenstein repeatedly offered to wear a wire when meeting with Trump.
Rosenstein, who’s expected to resign soon, responded Thursday with a Justice Department statement blasting the claims as “factually incorrect” and highlighting that McCabe was fired for lying to the department’s inspector general. The rest of the statement was pure spin, in which Rosenstein never denied the McCabe claims.

You would think that since he had the same job before he’d go through confirmation with ease but no. I hope he cleans house but I don’t think so.
Oh lord, how sweet it would be to see these bastards in prison jumpsuits. Please lord.
I’m not so sure McCabe is doing himself any favors by whining and lying on every TV show that will have him.
That will be the story next week. I think he’ll be out on his ass before the end of the week.
I want these coup plotters hung by the neck until they are dead and I want it on network news. Any lesser punishment only encourages it to happen again.

Deep state Barr is not going to go after any of his deep state comrades so don’t anyone get their hopes high. I have no hope that Barr is any kind of reformer. It would seem that we have to turn the entire govt upside down and shake them all out at this point.

<><> (3) in the process of obtaining the search warrants the Obama FBI failed to inform FISA that the Steele dossier was bought and paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
The Obama admin....hand-in-hand with his pal, NSA’s Susan Rice.... asked for and obtained hundreds of “unmaskings,” of US citizens’.....
their communications were intercepted by the Obama FBI and NSA as part of so-called intel operations.
Innocent Americans were unmasked, and were used against Trump in the campaign.

<><>What illegal direction did the FBI, the NSA, and other intel agencies take to monitor Trump-related communications?
Outrageously, Democrats have stopped the investigations cold. The most heinous aspect of this Democrat outrage is

set-up to protect the safety and security of Americans, to advance their scurrilous political schemes.

“Bob, show me the evidence and reasoning for why this investigation was started and still ongoing.”
Mueller to Barr:
“With regards to the President we have found no links or ties to any foreign entity etc”
Barr to Mueller:
“Mandate was clear - verify and investigate reports of possible foreign collusion between President & Russia.” “What justification existed to effectively launch a massive domestic / foreign surv campaign against the President (pres elect / president) and members of his transition / campaign team?”
Mueller to Barr:
“Steele dossier along w/ media corroboration of those findings.”
Barr to Mueller:
“Was the Steele report a ‘trusted and verified’ report per Intel to continue especially considering the funding party was the opposition party?”
Mueller to Barr:
“Those facts were never taken into consideration.” “FISC granted auth to conduct based on conclusions presented.”
Barr to Mueller:
“Was FISC made aware of all details surrounding the dossier?”
Mueller to Barr:
“No.” “We believe there was urgency placed on the auth given the gravity and timeline of events that those involved negated to populate fully.”
Barr to Mueller:
“Why were efforts made to continue investigating the President, interrupt his official capacity in governing, if the only doc presented was unsubstantiated and unverified?” “Why were questions and threat of subpoena communicated to the President if no factual foundation existed?”
“All charges thus far are unrelated to the original mandate - why are you still active and pursuing a crime if no verifiable evidence or evidence through discovery exists?”
Barr to RR:
“What justification did you have to effectively expand the mandate, not report that expansion to Congress, in order to seek a crime outside of R collusion?” “What specific reasoning and/or facts existed to justify the appointment of a SC to begin with per the law?” “Why did you recommend to Sessions that he should recuse?” “Why wasn’t the mandate / budget and regular updates provided to Congress upon request?” “Why is everything kept confidential and under inappropriate classification?” “Was the purpose of investigating to find a crime vs investigate evidence of a crime?”
Haven’t seen wishful thinking like that since I was a kid.

IMHo, McCabe has been cut out of the inner circle of the Deep State and is doing all this whining and lying to try and show the others he used to conspire with that it's safer to have him on the inside than on the outside.
I doubt that will work but who knows.
The DOJ only needs a little house cleaning the kind that Joe Stalin did .!You know the gulag & mass grave filling kind of house cleaning.
Barr will have his hands full trying to conceal all these crimes. His problem is that so much info has already leaked out. He has to sacrifice one or two in order to maintain his credibility. But people like McCabe will not want to go down alone.
Barr is old school Swamp. I hope he cleans house, but I have a gut feeling that he’s going to be Sessions 2.0.
