In Minneapolis, there are only about 40,000 Jews, of which there are an estimated 750-1500 Orthodox Jews. Reform synagogues basically make up their rituals and practices as they go along, very loosely based on authentic Jewish laws and practices. This woman, according to Jewish law, cannot be a rabbi. The fact that she calls herself a rabbi, goes through the motions of a rabbi's duties, etc. clearly demonstrates that she is a far left dingbat. So she does NOT speak for the Jewish people in any official sense. If she says that "Jews hate Trump", she is lying through her teeth. Orthodox Jews, those living an authentic Jewish life, overwhelmingly support Trump. As for those Jews making it up as they go along, they don't represent anything except a tragedy.
There are about 45,000 Jews in all of Minnesota. The St. Paul area has around 10,000 with at least another 10,000 in Twin cities suburbs not in CD-5, with the last number growing at the expense of the 5th District. There are also noticeable Jewish numbers in the Duluth area.
CD-5 has a population of 710,000, with more than 40% in white working- and middle-class suburbs.
Omar got 267,000 votes and her margin of victory was 190,000 votes. The Jewish vote was completely irrelevant.
