She may be right about that - but there's no reason to believe, and plenty of reason to disbelieve, that government can do a better job of setting CEO compensation.

The right CEO leading a corporation can make the difference between generating four billion dollars or zero billion dollars. So the CEO is important as are all the workers. It’s a team.

If government leaves people alone then they can generate lots of wealth. The key is for government to just get out of the way and let capitalism work.

Leftists often confuse cause and effect. The reason that corporations are interested in control of government is because those in government are exceeding their constitutional boundaries. So - if the feds were keeping their mitts off the markets, the corporations would have less incentive to try to influence them.

AOCs brand of socialism just makes this problem worse. I think many of the representatives realize this - but if they stopped, their gravy train of truckloads of cash would stop.

Dear AOC. Given that you identify so strongly as a Latina woman, and given your Puerto Rican roots, I suggest that you experiment with your political ideology in Puerto Rico. Why not make it your grand experiment? If you turn Puerto Rico into a socialist economic powerhouse, you will have promoted your cause.
